Tim Rogers, a Commonwealth Games, hopeful finished 4th in the Ogier Jersey Triathlon. Guernsey triathlete Alan Rowe was in first place, with James Amy second. Rogers will soon be taking part in the World Triathlon Age-Group Championships in Hawaii. Other potential members of the Jersey Triathlon Commonwealth Games team, Scott Pitcher and Paul Clements, after well deserved summer breaks, sat the race out as both have just entered a period of heavy training .
