Team Member Profile - Scott Pitcher

Scott Pitcher is aged 27 and has been competing in triathlon since 2002. Pitcher qualified for the 2005 world age-group championships in Hawaii but withdrew to concentrate on preparation for the Games. Pitcher came into the sport from a swimming and waterpolo background. He has played waterpolo for the Island and while at university his side were second in the BUSA championships. In the past Pitcher has also shot for Jersey (full-bore rifle) and toured Canada with the British cadet team. Pitcher is strong in the swim and bike sections and is currently concentrating on improving hisrun splits. Pitcher is a qualified accountant and works for Schroders within their Property Funds team.

Scott's aspirations for the Commonwealth Games are to finish ahead of the Guernsey competitors! After the Games hopes are to qualify for the 2006world age group championships and hopefully medal at the 2007 NatWest Island Games in Rhodes.
