Jersey triathletes supported by Royal Bank of Scotland International Private Banking



Paul Clements is about to commence his warm-weather training and will leave for Melbourne on 27 October to check out the triathlon race course. Clements will be based on the Gold Coast, Queensland and will be joined in January by Scott Pitcher, with Tim Rogers arriving in early March. Clements and Pitcher intend to race in Perth, Hobart and will be joined in Southport by Rogers and team manager Gary Jones.

The Jersey Triathlon Club are very grateful to receive financial assistance from the The Royal Bank of Scotland International (RBSI) to aid the Jersey triathletes in their preparations for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. The financial support will help Paul Clements, Scott Pitcher and Tim Rogers to undertake this warm-weather training and racing in Australia in the run-up to the Games.

Gary Jones, President of the Jersey Triathlon Club and Commonwealth Games Team Manager said ‘ I am absolutely thrilled that we have been able to obtain the generous support of RBSI to assist in our final preparations in the run up to the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. Having the ability to train and race in Australia during the months of January, February and March will contribute immensely to ensuring all three of our triathletes can give of their best on race day’
